The Department of Mathematics conducts research and provides education at undergraduate and
graduate levels in mathematics, applied mathematics and statistics. The number of employees is 130, including 40 PhD students. The Department of Mathematics is now looking for a researcher in strings, quantum fields, and geometry.

Duties
You will work under the supervision of Dr. Michele Del Zotto, at the interface of the group of geometry and physics at the Department of Mathematics and the group of theoretical physics of the Department of Physics and Astronomy. The duties include collaboration with the various members of the group and the production of research results.

Requirements
PhD degree in mathematics or Theoretical Physics, or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a PhD degree in mathematics or theoretical physics.

Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the context of geometric engineering methods in quantum field theory and strings/M/F-theory.
