Research is focused on insulin resistance, Type 2 diabetes and its different clinical and metabolic consequences. Currently, we focus on the importance of cell senescence and its mechanisms and effects on insulin signaling and action in human metabolic cells. 

Duties 

Isolate and culture/expand human mesenchymal stemcells human liver cells and also skeletal muscle cells. Perform genetic and epigenetic studies, isolate and characterize senescence-associated metabolites. Perform protein analysis and general laboratory analysis. 

Qualifications 

The position requires a doctoral degree. Experience with cell culture and isolation of human tissue cells is necessary. Good experience with genetic and epigenetic analysis required. Experience with cell senescence and its mechanisms, consequences and methodologies used is required. Good experience in speaking and writing english is required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. We will evaluate ability to work independently, to be flexible and to take initiatives.
