Postdoctoral Fellowship in Growth of Hybrid Quantum Materials, Niels Bohr Institute

We seek outstanding candidates for a postdoctoral fellowship to develop a quantum materials platform combining semiconductors with superconducting and ferromagnetic components.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within molecular beam epitaxy and related characterization techniques at the Center for Quantum Device. The position may also include performance of other duties.

The position is (expected to be) open from 15 May 2024 and it has a duration of 20 months, with a possibility of extending the contract further.

Description of the scientific environment:
The Center for Quantum Devices is a research center comprising materials research, experimental solid-state physics, quantum nanoelectronics, and condensed matter theory. The Center provides a vibrant scientific environment with cutting-edge research performed across many different groups spread across condensed matter and superconducting qubit experiments with close ties to a strong theory department as well as longstanding collaborations with industry.

Our center is a part of Condensed Matter Physics at the Niels Bohr Institute, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen. We are located in Copenhagen and offer creative, stimulating working conditions in a dynamic and international research environment.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
