We are witnessing a proliferation of trajectory data. A prime example of such data is timestamped position data that captures the movements of vehicles. Such data may be used for a wide range of important analyses relating to traffic and transportation.
The objective of the PhD positions is to conduct research that aims to establish a foundation for ingesting and compressing trajectory data and for enabling computationally efficient analyses, including approximate analyses, of compressed data while offering accuracy guarantees.
– A Master’s degree in computer science or a closely related field
– Experience with data management and query processing
For further information about scientific aspects of the stipends, please contact Associate Professors Christian S. Jensen firstname.lastname@example.org or Torben Bach Pedersen, email@example.com.

According to the Ministerial Order, the progress of the PhD student shall be assessed every six months. It is a prerequisite for continuation of salary payment that the previous progress is approved at the time of the evaluation.
