A position as postdoc in genomics and genetics is available at the Department of Molecular Biology University of Aarhus, Denmark. The position is for a three-year period starting July 1st 2018.
The postdoc will be part of the NORFAB consortium working on improving faba bean (Vicia faba) as a protein crop for the Northern Hemisphere. The postdoc is expected to develop faba bean genomics and genetics and to contribute towards establishing a genomics based platform for faba bean breeding. Training and experience with plant molecular biology, plant genetics, general molecular biology techniques, advanced microscopy is expected and experience with preparation of libraries for next-generation sequencing and with faba bean transformation is an advantage.
Applicants must have a relevant Ph.D. and additional experience from postdoctoral research in legume genetics and genomics is an advantage.
